Should you take student loan? How to supplement it.

Education is very expensive. There are cheap college with good education also. So, where should you go to get quality but affordable education? I would recommend to search extensively over the internet before you make your mind . US news website is a place for great resource. But no matter where do you go money is a great factor while going to college in US. Although I personally believe education is everybody's birth right. While it should not be free, but very affordable. Unfortunately that's not the case here. No wonder now lots of students from USA goes overseas like Europe and Latin America to get their education. From my personal life experience, where you get your degree from plays a very small role to have a successful career. Keep in mind in this country lots of people become very successful and have a six figure income career even without a degree. Having a degree keeping that in your consideration, put you ahead in the competition.

You do have to sometimes take loans and yes its very easy to have one while in school. Banks are kind of standing in line to hand over you the money hoping that they can eat butter on your head once you get out with degree completed. Sometimes student even don't care what they are getting onto is actually a trap from the greedy bankers. Student loans should be regulated and carefully controlled so that they cant fool the students with a heavy burden. You will be surprised how many students get out with a heavy loan while the economy and job market is tanking. With a huge competition typical job should not be the only option now. You must have a side plan. I would say take student loan just to cover tuition and books, dont borrow it to cover your food and housing expenses. Try to do something during weekend to cover your extra expenses. There are so many ways to make money now even on line. Try to do freelancing. Even help your parents with mowing lawn to earn few bucks extra. Work study is a great option for students. Its a federal project to earn money while working and gaining experience in school. Try to take only subsidized loans as they are less expensive and initial interest is paid by the government. Try to cut living expenses as much as possible. get rid of those habit that cost you money.  Do some physical work that will bring you some money instead of going to gym and waste your time. Avoid credit cards or get them and save them for your senior year. Trust me you will need them during final semesters at school.
